All Idaho Falls students interested in going into a health-related profession are invited to attend the semester’s first Future Healthcare Professionals of America club meeting next week. The group will meet at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15, in CHE 108 for approximately an hour.

Idaho State University Pre-Health Advisor Becky Connell will be there to discuss opportunities in healthcare and issues related to professional school applications as well as answer any questions students may have. Please take advantage of this event as Becky is based out of Pocatello and not in Idaho Falls often. If you can’t make the meeting and wish to contact her, she can be reached at (208) 282-2375 or connrebe@isu.edu.

Also, come meet this year’s FHPA officers and learn about the events that are being held this semester, including a blood drive and various recruiters that will be coming to ISU. For more information about the club, contact Randy Walling at wallrand@isu.edu.

Future Healthcare Professionals of America is a student organization based at the Idaho Falls campus of Idaho State University.

The Idaho Falls FHPA club is open to all students interested in going into a health-related profession. The club offers a network of volunteer/shadowing opportunities within the university and community for all active members. Members include those who want to be a dentist, chiropractor, occupational therapist, optometrist, physical therapist, physician, physician assistant, podiatrist or veterinarian.

This year, we’re hitting the web and getting more interactive. Be sure to check back for meeting times and other events and don’t forget to check us out on Facebook.
